Capturing the soul of a place is a spiritual journey of design. I learned through this project how to connect with natural landscapes and the literature of the land. The project discusses the relationship between the living and dying on an ever extended timeline. Influenced by the poetry of Walt Whitman, the design reflects three layers of divine, living, and death.

Coexistence is the main essence of the design concept. I visited the site to smell the air and feel the sounds. Working in a team with Amin Alkalifa we developed the concept to reflect the site and the essence of witnessing the beautiful sandhills on the ridge of the Niobrara River Valley.

It is a great reflection of the soul is the essence of the open landscape. The project was a great learning experience by immersing the self into the solid representation that is inspired deeply by beauty. We saw beauty in emptiness as it evolves aesthetic beyond explanation. The amazing view that combines the sublime of architectural representation and the sublime of the great sandhills was the aim of this project.
